Delete your account and data

Effective September 15, 2026.

This page explains how to delete a PerioMaxer account and what happens to the data afterwards. It applies to the iPhone and iPad app, the Android app, the Windows office desktop, and periomaxer.com.

Delete it yourself

1. Sign in at periomaxer.com/login as the practice owner. 2. Go to Settings in the account dashboard. 3. Open Delete this account, type the practice name to confirm, enter your password, and submit.

Deletion runs immediately. If the practice has an open setup hold, self-service deletion currently stops partway, after some records are already deleted; open a support request from the account dashboard and our staff will complete it. We request cancellation of your website subscription in the same step. If the billing provider cannot be reached, the result is flagged for follow-up. App Store and Google Play subscriptions are separate and must be canceled through the store used for purchase.

Only the practice owner can do this, because it closes the whole practice.

Remove just your own login

If you sign in as a staff member rather than the owner, open Settings, choose Delete my login, and enter your password. That removes your email, name, password hash, and authentication settings, and signs you out. The practice, its subscription, and its devices stay as they are.

If you cannot sign in

Reset your password from periomaxer.com/forgot-password using the email on the account, sign in, and delete from Settings as above.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and every other staff account at the practice: email, name, role, password hash, authentication settings, sign-in sessions, and the record of the Terms each person accepted.
  • Registered devices: every phone and office computer enrolled to the practice, their pairing certificates, and the practice's phone setup links.
  • Licence keys, operatories, charting-session records, chart-order submissions, and support tickets and their messages.
  • Our record of non-billing emails sent to the practice.

Cloud account deletion does not erase local app data or your PMS. Remove local records using the app and your device’s storage controls. Uninstalling may leave credentials, exports, backups, iPhone contacts the app created, or desktop data folders behind; revoke office access as well.

Records we keep after deletion, and why

None of these records is designed to hold patient information, and nobody can sign in to the account once the staff accounts are gone.

Local charts and optional feedback

Voice recognition runs on your device. Office Link chart entries move between the phone and the paired office computer over your practice's own network. Your practice management system holds the chart of record, and deleting a PerioMaxer account does not touch it.

Voluntary app feedback is stored separately, including the name, email, message, and files the sender selected, which can contain recorded speech, transcripts, and chart values. Deleting a practice account does not automatically remove those reports. Reports and their attachments are kept as support history. To have yours deleted, send a Question from Report Bug in the app, or open a support ticket in your account. We confirm the request with the email address given on the report before deleting it.

Cancelling versus deleting

Cancelling a subscription stops the billing and leaves the account in place, so you can come back to it. Deleting removes the account and cannot be undone. Cancel website subscriptions from Billing in the account dashboard; delete the practice account from Settings. Cancel mobile-store subscriptions through Apple or Google Play. Uninstalling an app does not cancel its subscription.

Timing

Deleting from Settings takes effect at once, except for a practice with an open setup hold (see above). A request to delete a feedback report or an availability-update request is carried out by our support staff after we confirm it; there is no self-service deletion for those. Backups roll off within 90 days.

Questions

Open a support ticket from Support in your account, or send a Question from Report Bug in the app. You can also write to support@periomaxer.com, but email to that address is not filed as a support ticket, so use one of the first two routes for anything that needs an answer.
